TEST & MEASUREMENT

ENGINEERING WORK STATION

A powerful and versatile Test & Measurement Workstation may be built around the GR33A or GR34A Graphic Recorders equipped with Analog, ARINC and Transient Digitizer interfaces, combined with RMS Instruments' software running on a Notebook PC.

  • The GR33A and GR34A Graphic Recorders with an Analog Input Module, offer reliable, low-maintenance, thermal array recording technology, with 32 analog input channels (differential, 16-bit resolution) and 6 event channels.
  • RMS INSTRUMENTS’ PC33 software package allows complete configuration and control of the GR33A or GR34A from a Notebook PC.  In addition to the real-time record on paper, the GR33A or GR34A also outputs serially, in real-time, all sampled (and processed) data. This data may be used by the DISP33 Virtual Chart Recorder software package to monitor signal waveforms on the screen, and optionally log the data to disk.
  • The Transient Digitizer Module (TDM) allows recording and analysis of higher-frequency (31-kHz sampling) analog input signals.  The TDM records digitized data in memory, allows plotting of the sampled data points on the chart and/or downloading to a Notebook PC for further analysis.
  • The ARINC Interface Module greatly expands the capabilities of the instrument for use in avionics environments.  A variety of formats are supported (429, 419, etc.) and data may be input directly into any of the 4 independent channels available.  The data is recorded as waveforms on the chart in real-time, and it may also be output to a Notebook PC.  The resulting system is a practical, compact and powerful tool used in aircraft manufacturing, in-flight testing, engineering development and maintenance facilities.

MONITORING WORK STATION

A powerful and versatile Test & Measurement and Monitoring Workstation may be built around A GR33U2S Chart Recorder with its wide selection of signal conditioning inputs (Voltage, current, Thermocouple, RTD, etc.), combined with RMS Instruments' software running on a Notebook PC.

The GR33U2S Chart Recorder with its wide selection of inputs, offers reliable, low-maintenance, thermal array recording technology, with 2 analog input channels (differential, 16-bit resolution).

RMS INSTRUMENTS’ PC33 software package allows complete configuration and control of the GR33U2S from a Notebook PC.  In addition to the real-time record on paper, the GR33U2S also outputs serially, in real-time, all sampled (and processed) data.

This data may be used by the DISP33 Virtual Chart Recorder software package to (remotely, via modem) monitor signal waveforms on the screen, and optionally log the data to disk.

The data is recorded as waveforms on the chart in real-time, or in internal solid state memory, and it may also be output to a Notebook PC.  The resulting system is a practical, compact and powerful tool used in production testing, engineering development, maintenance facilities and long term monitoring.
